Map of Egypt
This map shows key places that are mentioned throughout the history of the Suez Canal. As you can see by looking at the map, the canal is not hard to spot, and at the top of the canal you can spot Port Said, which was the port that the British and French entered through when they began their attack. Also by looking at the location of the canal, it is obvious why it's location was great for trading because of the surrounding seas. You can also spot where the Aswan Dam is located on the Nile River. That is the dam that caused Nasser to become infuriated with Europe and America. It's amazing to see how a little canal caused such a big crisis between countries.
